When I think of this recipe I think of Greg Andrews. He LOVED this as a kid and would always want it for his birthday! Definitely not easy on the waistline but darn good tasting!!!
1 1/2 c. butter
2 3/4 c. sugar
3/4 t. almond flavoring
3 3/8 c. flour
3/4 t. salt
6 eggs
1 1/2 t. vanilla
2 1/4 t. baking powder
2 large cans cherry pie filling
Cream butter with sugar. Add eggs one at a time and beat well. Add dry ingredients. Spread 3/4 of the batter on a cookie sheet. Cover with cherry pie filling. Use the reserved 1/4 of batter to spread on top on pie filling. Bake 350* for 45-50 min.
